**NEW ARTIST ALERT: Introducing Joshua O' Connor...**

If you love singer/songwriters such as Ed Sheeran, Damien Rice, Jose Gonzalez and Jamie Cullum and are intrigued by the concept of the genre "folktronica", then 20 year-old Cambridge singer/songwriter Josh O'Connor will be right up your street. Josh is about to release his debut album "Running" on iTunes this Autumn after playing gig after gig to get his music out there to you, the listening public. The album is a glorious mix of folk and pop with an added electronic twist and is perfect for bright and breezy days with it's sweet, happy and light acoustic guitar driven tracks and Josh's lush, endearing, layered vocals. I predict great things in the future for him....he certainly has the talent to break into the mainstream! Good luck Josh!

Have a listen to his album here on soundcloud at: www.soundcloud.com/joshuaoconnor

The Wanted - Lightning

British boy-band The Wanted have enjoyed a huge following and success in the British charts since they hit No. 1 in August last year with their debut single "All Time Low". Since then they've had a top 5 album, two top 3 singles with "Heart Vacancy" and "Gold Forever", and a second No. 1 single with the Summer party anthem "Glad You Came". The third single to be taken from their forthcoming second album is "Lightning", a euphoric dance track that the boys penned themselves with a huge sing-a-long chorus. I really like this track....perhaps more so than anything else they've done! A future No. 1 in my opinion!

Cher Lloyd Feat. Mike Posner - With Ur Love

Precocious singer and rapper Cher Lloyd, one of X Factor's most controversial alumni, scored a No. 1 on the UK chart last month with the opinion-splitting nursery-rhyme sampling "Swagger Jagger". The second single to be taken from her debut album is "With Ur Love" featuring US singer Mike Posner (who hit No. 5 in November last year with "Cooler Than Me"). The track is, in my opinion, a way better offering than "Swagger Jagger" from Cher, and with its catchy chorus and slick production courtesy of Swedish maestro Max Martin (who penned most of the big pop hits of the 90s including "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time"), the track is poised to be a smash and may even score some global chart success for the 17 year-old. Enjoy!

Flo Rida - Good Feeling

Tramar Dillard AKA Flo Rida has had numerous chart successes around the world since his debut single "Low" featuring T-Pain was released in 2007, hitting No. 1 practically everywhere (except the UK, where it was held off the top spot by Estelle's "American Boy"). However, he did manage to reach the top spot here on two occasions with "Right Round" featuring Ke$ha in March 2009 and "Club Can't Handle Me" featuring David Guetta in August last year. The first track to be taken from "Only One Rida (Part 2)" is the Etta James sampling "Good Feeling", a collaboration with producers Dr. Luke, Swedish hot-property Avicii and US dubstep producer Cirkut. The track heavily borrows Avicii's instrumental "Levels" - a trend that seems to be all the rage at the moment, what with Leona Lewis's "Collide" being based on Avicii's instrumental "Penguin". This is a really good track...keep an eye out for the UK version featuring a Mr. Taio Cruz in the form of his next single "Hangover"! Enjoy!

Rihanna Feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love

Bajan superstar Rihanna has had huge global success over the past 6 years, selling millions of records since her debut single "Pon De Replay" hit No. 2 on the UK charts back in 2005. Since then she has racked up 4 No. 1 singles ("Umbrella" feat. Jay Z, "Take A Bow", "Only Girl (In The World)" and "What's My Name"), not to mention 11 more top 10 singles as either lead artist or guest. Her most recent album "Loud", reached No. 1 on the UK album chart and has already sold in excess on 1.5 million units in the UK alone! Today has seen the premiere of her new single "We Found Love" (despite Cheers (Drink To That) still being in the UK top 40) featuring Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris. To be honest this sounds more like Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna really as the DJ's sound really comes through in this record, a euphoric piece of synth-driven house with thumping dance beats. This is one for the clubs for sure! Enjoy people!

Jessie J - Domino

Essex native Jessie Cornish AKA Jessie J first had success as a songwriter for Miley Cyrus on her track "Party In The USA". Since then she has had success in her own right as a solo artist. Four singles have been released from her multi-platinum debut album "Who I Am" to varying success. Her debut single "Do It Like A Dude" hit No. 2 on the UK chart early this year. Soon after, "Price Tag" featuring B.o.B hit No. 1 around the world and is currently the 2nd highest selling single of the year. More recently, "Nobody's Perfect" and "Who's Laughing Now" both became top 10 and top 20 hits respectively for the singer. The 2nd single to be released in the USA only for the time being is the Dr. Luke (Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Katy Perry) produced "Domino", a very catchy piece of pure pop, reminiscent of the material that Katy Perry has released from her "California Dreams" album. This is pretty good folks - I hope you like! :)

Jennifer Lopez - Papi

Multi-talented actress and singer Jennifer Lopez has had a string of hits since her debut single "If You Had My Love" back in 1999. The Puerto Rican has managed 3 No. 1 singles in the UK including "Love Don't Cost A Thing" in 2001, "Get Right" in 2005 and most recently "On The Floor" with Pitbull in April this year. The track, along with the top 10 Lil' Wayne collaboration "I'm Into You" is taken from her 7th studio album "Love?". The 3rd single to be taken from the LP is another collaboration with in-demand producer RedOne. "Papi", is another slickly produced thumping dance track with tribal beats and an infectious chorus! Enjoy!

Lana del Rey - Video Games

American songstress Lana del Rey releases her debut UK single "Video Games" a double A side with the track "Blue Jeans" on October 16th. The track, a haunting piano driven ballad with a soaring, beautiful vocal and harp and orchestral backing, echoes works by Paloma Faith and Adele and has been receiving rave reviews by Fearne Cotton on Radio 1. I really like this track! It seems that this has caught the ear of other Radio 1 listeners also as the track is already at No. 50 on the iTunes album chart as a pre-order. This will do well in the UK charts mark my words! Enjoy!

DEVolution - Good Love

Dubstep newcomers DEVolution have just released their debut single "Good Love". The track, an uplifting piece of euphoric dubstep with trancey synths and a sexy vocal has been receiving airplay on both Radio 1 and 1Xtra and is set to do big things in the clubs. I really like this! If you are looking for a dancier, more housey affair, check out the Kat Krazy Remix of the track - it really takes it to another level! Enjoy!

Tinchy Stryder - Off The Record (Produced By Calvin Harris & Burns)

UK grime sensation Tinchy Stryder first hit the UK charts back in January 2009 with Taio Cruz on the No. 3 hit "Take Me Back". Since then he has had 8 more top 40 successes including the No. 1 hits "Number 1" with N-Dubz and "Never Leave You" with Amelle from the Sugababes. The first single to be taken from his 3rd studio album is "Off The Record", a thumping house track produced by none other than Calvin Harris, who has become one of the biggest success stories of the past few years in UK dance music and up-and-coming producer Burns. This is definitely a step in the right direction for Tinchy, taking a leaf out of Dizzee Rascal's book in hooking up with one of the hottest UK producers out there at the moment! Enjoy!

Example - Midnight Run (Produced By Feed Me) / The Way (Produced By Rollo & Sister Bliss of Faithless)

Here is a treat for you....the next single and another track from Example's new album "Playing In The Shadows", which is out now! "Midnight Run", the next track to be taken from the dance-influence rapper's 2nd mainstream album on Ministry Of Sound, is an interesting one at that! Produced by dubstep newcomers Feed Me, the track clocks at a BPM halfway between that typically used in house and dubstep genre tracks, allowing the wordsmith to bend the rules a little and create something a little different! The second track I have posted is "The Way", a stand-out track for me from the album, exquisitely produced by dance legends Rollo & Sister Bliss of Faithless, who incidentally Example was supporting during their last tour. This is a class piece of classic Faithless and would not sound out of place on an album of theirs! Enjoy! :)
