Daft Punk - Horizon (Japanese Bonus Track from "Random Access Memories")

Daft Punk's universally acclaimed fourth studio album "Random Access Memories" was released worldwide earlier this week and is expected to top global album charts. Japanese fans have been treated to an extra 14th track at the end of the long play. "Horizon", a beautiful guitar and synth led instrumental number, is undoubtedly one of the most chilled out pieces of music the French duo have released, and harks back to work by Pink Floyd. This is a superb track and almost makes you think why they did not include this on the general release, as it would have provided a fantastic warm down after the rocket-fuelled excitement that album-closer "Contact" brings. Enjoy!

Empire Of The Sun - Alive

Australian duo Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore AKA Empire Of The Sun (along with invisible band member Peter Mayes of PNAU), garnered critical acclaim for their first release "Walking On A Dream" back in 2009. The album spawned worldwide hits such as the title track and "We Are The People", which hit No. 1 in several countries across Europe due to use in a Vodafone advert. The band release their second album "Ice On The Dune" on June 17, which is said to have a "timeless" sound according to Mayes. The first track from the record to be unveiled is "Alive", which is free when you pre-order the new album on iTunes. The anthemic track, which features Steele's distinctive lead vocal, is clearly influenced by recent PNAU releases with its sweeping synths and atmospheric sound. RATING: 8/10

Daft Punk Feat. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers - Get Lucky

French electronic duo Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Cristo, known for their robot personas, have arguably always been at the forefront of their genre since their groundbreaking debut "Homework" back in 1997. Their 2001 sophomore set "Discovery", often regarded as one of the greatest dance records of all time, with its classic lead single "One More Time", and tracks such as "Digital Love", "Aerodynamic" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" cemented the duo as dance music royalty. An ambitious Japanese anime style animated film project, "Interstella 5555", set to the music from "Discovery" was released in 2003. A third record followed in 2005 ("Human After All") to lesser critical acclaim, spawning singles such as "Robot Rock" and "Technologic".

8 years later, the notorious perfectionists are about to release their fourth record "Random Access Memories", perhaps one of the most widely-anticipated releases this year. The record features collaborations with Giorgio Moroder, Panda Bear, Chilly Gonzales, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams, DJ Falcon, Todd Edwards and Julian Casablancas. After a series of teaser trailers during advertisement breaks of Saturday Night Live, a trailer has surfaced featuring a clip of the first single to be released from the album "Get Lucky" featuring the vocals of Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers on guitar. The track is classic Daft Punk, with its synthesized vocals, infectious bassline and funky beats, demonstrates the duo's desire to echo "east-coast vibe" and "an era of forgotten music". No doubt, this will be the track of the Summer, and remind everyone that these guys are at the top of their game! RATING: 10/10

Sub Focus Feat. Alex Clare - Endorphins

D&B/Dubstep producer Nick Douwma AKA Sub Focus scored the biggest hit of his career last year after teaming up with British electro-pop duo Alpines on "Tidal Wave". The next track to be taken from his as-yet-untitled sophomore album is "Endorphins". The euphoric 140BPM trance-synth tinged dubstep track, features brilliant vocals from "Too Close" and "Not Giving In" singer Alex Clare, and received its first play recently on Annie Mac's Radio 1 show. Perhaps this collaboration will allow the British producer to reach the upper echelons of the UK chart when it is released in the coming months. Enjoy!

Stooshe - Slip

Sassy trio Alexandra Buggs, Karis Anderson and Courtney Rumbold AKA Stooshe scored two top 5 hits last year with the Motown-inspired tracks "Love Me" and "Black Heart". After delaying the release of their self-titled debut album, originally due to be released after their 3rd single, a cover of TLC's classic hit "Waterfalls", the girls returned to the studio to come up with some new material. "Slip" is one of the new tracks the girls recorded, another classy-yet-infectious Motown-influenced track, and is set to be released as the 4th single from the collection on 13 May. No doubt this will provide the girls with another top 10 single! Enjoy!

"Party Over", produced by previous collaborators and label bosses Xenomania, is Amelia's first foray into the world of drum and bass. The track,  with its infectious hook and pulsating D&B beats and synths looks set to be another UK Top 40 hit for her in the months to come. Enjoy!

Loveable Rogues - What A Night

Britain's Got Talent 2012 finalists Loveable Rogues AKA Eddie Brett, Sonny Jay Muharrem and Te Eugene Qhairo soon got snatched up by Simon Cowell's Syco imprint after impressing judges and finishing in 4th place behind winners Ashleigh & Pudsey, Jonothan & Charlotte and Only Boys Aloud. After performing their self-penned tracks "Lovesick" and "Honest" on the show, they have decided to follow suit by releasing another original track as their debut single. "What A Night", a collaboration with singer-songwriter Ed Drewett, is a brass-tinged piece of testosterone fuelled "lad-pop", with cheeky lyrics and an incredibly catchy chorus. The track and the video really highlights what the British public fell in love with on the show - their boy-next-door image and their knack for churning out a cracking pop record! No doubt this track will be setting the UK Top 40 alight over the coming months!

Alexis Jordan Feat. J. Cole - Acid Rain (Written by Sia and samples "Rattle" by Bingo Players)

Roc Nation starlet Alexis Jordan burst onto the scene in 2010 with her massive Deadmau5-sampling No. 3 hit "Happiness", taken from her self-titled top 10 debut album, which also spawned the No. 6 hit "Good Girl". Now the 20 year-old is back with the first single to be taken from her as-yet-untitled second album. "Acid Rain", written by songwriter-of-the-moment Sia and produced by long time collaborators Stargate, features verses from guest rapper J. Cole and samples the huge dance anthem "Rattle" by Bingo Players. With Jordan's soaring vocals and a euphoric chorus, the track looks to the repeat the success of its predecessors in the UK charts over the coming months.

Disclosure Feat. AlunaGeorge - White Noise

UK garage-house duo Disclosure had a big hit on their hands with their infectious last single "Latch" featuring Sam Smith, which is still lingering around the top 40 months after its release last October, where it hit No. 11 on the UK singles chart. The next cut to be taken from their forthcoming début album, "White Noise", features 2013 Brit Award of Critics' Choice nominees and BBC Sound of 2013 runners up AlunaGeorge. According to Popjustice the track, with its distinctive vocals courtesy of Aluna Francis, is "a bit more hands-in-the-lasersesque than the garagey stuff Disclosure were better known for". Due for release next month, it remains to be seen whether this track will replicate the success of its predecessor. I tip this one for big things over the next few months. Enjoy!

Avicii Vs. Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One

After scoring undoubtedly one of the biggest club hits of recent years with the No. 4 smash "Levels", and being listed as No. 6 on DJ Magazine's World's Best DJ list, Swedish dance superstar Tim Bergling AKA Avicii has teamed up with David Guetta's protégé Nicky Romero on "I Could Be The One". A typical Avicii affair with plinky euphoric synths and a driving house beat, "I Could Be The One" first appeared as the track "Nicktim", an instrumental which received plays from Pete Tong on Radio 1. Since then, the track has received the full vocal treatment ready to cross over from the clubs into the mainstream. After being playlisted on Radio 1 last week, surely this will become the Swedes next successful assault on the UK Top 40? Enjoy!
