Amelia Lily - Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)

X Factor 2011 graduate Amelia Lily scored a UK No. 2 hit back in September with her dance-influenced debut single "You Bring Me Joy". The music video for her second single "Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got)" to be taken from her forthcoming debut album has just premiered online, and is definitely more along the lines of what people were expecting. The Xenomania produced track features a bouncy pop-rock tinged backing track with electro-influenced synths, infectious chorus and showcases Amelia Lily's strong vocals. Regarding the video itself, according to Amelia Lily, "There is a lot more attitude in there and it's a lot darker". Am really liking this track at the moment - maybe when it is released in January next year it will go one better and get Amelia Lily her first UK No. 1 single?

Rihanna - Jump (Produced by Chase & Status)

Bajan superstar Rihanna has just released her seventh studio album "Unapologetic" after scoring another worldwide hit with the Sia Furler ("Titanium") penned track "Diamonds". "Unapologetic" sold 100,000 copies in the UK and 238,000 in the US to debut at No. 1 on both album charts. The album is highly varied in styles, and ranges from hip-hop to dance and dubstep to ballads. A track which stood out for me is the Chase & Status and Stargate produced "Jump". The combination of the two producers' production worked wonders on the UK No. 1 hit "R.I.P." for Rita Ora earlier in the year, and certainly does not disappoint here. Featuring a sample from US R&B singer Ginuwine's 1996 hit "Pony", dark synths, and a mental and oh-so-current dubstep breakdown accompanied by frenzied chants of the track's title, "Jump" could further cement Miss Fenty as the world's biggest popstar.
